HOPTON HALL GARDENS (10.30-12.30pm)

Observing Flowers: A Relaxed Drawing & Painting Workshop at Hopton Hall Gardens for the Month of Art

45 British pounds
Hopton

Service Description

Come and spend a creative morning with me surrounded by the beautiful roses and flower-filled pathways of Hopton Hall as part of the Hall’s Month of Art in June. This workshop is all about slowing down, noticing the details, and enjoying the experience of drawing and painting outdoors in a relaxed and inspiring setting. Together we’ll explore the gardens, observe the flowers, colours and shapes around us, and turn them into expressive, illustrative artwork in your own style - without any pressure to make things perfect. I’ll begin the session with a short demonstration to help everyone get started before we wander around the rose-walled garden drawing and painting together. Throughout the workshop I’ll be on hand to offer guidance, ideas and encouragement as you explore materials, compositions and ways of working creatively from observation. The session is designed to feel relaxed and enjoyable - more like a creative wander through the gardens than a formal art class. I’ll have two gazebos set up within the garden: -One as a base for resting, gathering and developing artwork and a table of art materials. -The other displaying examples of my illustration work, sketchbooks and published children’s books. When & Where: Friday 17th July 2026 (2 sessions throughout the day) Morning: 10.30am - 12.30pm (YOU ARE CURRENTLY ON THE AM BOOKING) Afternoon: 1pm - 3pm Small workshop — maximum 12 participants.
